Nash Papyrus

Biblical Manuscript

(B.C. 150-68 A.D.)

Contains the Ten Commandments, part of Deuteronomy 5:6-21, and the Shema. It is clearly a collection of devotional and liturgical passages.

It was the oldest manuscript at the time until the even older Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. The American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR) scholars, John C. Trevor and William H. Brownlee, compared the handwriting against the newly discovered Dead Sea Scrolls and concluded they were from the same period.
